Xanxus continues running, jumping from rooftop to rooftop of the village. As he continues to run towards the coast. He looks on and sees that the great barrier has been raised. "Looks like the water mages are over there, and by the looks of the barrier its a big enemy." Xanxus looks towards the ground and sees more and more villagers running towards the coast as well, attempting to help in fighting against this mysterious beast. "Whatever this thing is, it must have attacked many times before because they way things are being conducted it seems like they have prepared for this attack. But how come I've never heard about these attacks if that's the case..?" Xanxus finally reaches the coast and sees many other water elementals concentrating and adding more and more water to the barrier keeping a shrouded figure from entering the nation. The creature continually banged against the barrier with tremendous force. With each hit water was sent from the sky and hit the crowds of people causing many people to be sent back. Xanxus was still in awe at the sheer size of the beast. He could feel killing intent emanating from the creature and it wrapped around him like a blanket. He realized that this beast intended on destroying this nation. Xanxus was terrified but he hid it, he realized that if he was going to be king of this nation he had to protect it. Xanxus ran into the water and dived down, swimming under the barrier.

Cloud reached the edge of the building just as Xanxus dissapeared into the water below the barrier.
"you son of a bitch... no way are you getting the glory for this one" Cloud raised a hand towards the top of the dome, his eyes became a sharper, radiant blue as he focused his wind element.
He drew in the air around him into an aero, compressing fast movong wind inside of it, threatening to overcome him and cast him down. Just as he felt he couldnt hold it any more he released it into the roftop below him, the result was instant and violent. The highly pressurised wind demolished the building and propelled Cloud at blinding speed straight up at the dome of water, the aero around his upper body contacted the watery barrier and for a moment he was held there before the air overcame the water and he rocketed through it, almost impaling a whale in the process. Within second he shot out of the top of the barier and landed ontop of the massive blue dome.

Cloud was taken in by the sheer size of the dome, it didnt just cover the island, but a great stretch of sea around it, the people inside did not want that thing anywhere near their island, speaking of which... Cloud surveyed the area and saw a flash of movement out of the corner of his eye. Turning quickly he saw a multitude of spiderlike creatures were scaling the dome, they were a moving wave of moving legs and bodies. Cloud swore, "ok maybe Xanxus can have a little bit of glory"

Cloud drew his blade, spun it once in his right hand to ease his jitters and ran towards his oncoming foes.

Xanxus still swimming, continues until he is completely out of range of the barrier. Xanxus swims up and breaks from the surface of the water. Xanxus examines his surroundings and notices that it is eerily darker past the barrier, as if to warn him of the impending danger. As Xanxus continues looking around he sees two immense green scaly pillar-like figures. Xanxus looked upwards and saw that these pillars connected to the beast that was wreaking havoc on the Water Nation. Xanxus shook his head, trying to take in how immensely large this monster was. While Xanxus had been floating in the water there were large rock-looking thing that were falling off of the monster and into the water around him, but Xanxus didn't think anything of it. Xanxus then began to swim forward to the leg of the monster but he was suddenly pulled under water. Xanxus looked down and saw that a spider-like figure had grabbed his leg. Xanxus pulled out Hurricane and began to shoot at it, killing it. Xanxus proceeded to swim towards the surface of the water but was then tackled by something. Xanxus shockingly looked and saw that it was another monster. It was obvious that these monsters were trying to drown him. Xanxus shot at the monster and watched it float away. Xanxus quickly began to swim towards the the pillar like legs again and began to climb them, hoping that the monster would not notice. "This is going to be a long climb...."

Cloud met the myriad of spider creatures with killing intent, severed limbs flew into the air, turning into water much to Clouds surprise. It seemed that the spiders were completely made up of water. "If thats the case..."

Cloud back flipped away from the oncoming wave, landing down on one knee. He swung his blade in line with their bodies and a great blade of wind swept forth. The entire group of disgusting creatures was vanquished in a cloud of water. Cloud couldn't see any others so he ran towards where they had come at him from. He reached the 'horizon' of the dome and felt a growing sense of disbelief and horror as a huge creature came into view.

cloud didn't know how he hadn't seen it straight away, it was the creature was HUGE it was standing out in open water and its knees could just be seen above the waves which were now reaching tsunami proportions.

And in the midst of it all a tiny figure could be seen several meters above the waves, climbing the things leg.
"Xanxus you moron..." Cloud could scarcely believe what he was seeing, it defied reason... and it spurred Cloud into action. Holding his hand in the air a tattoo that was normally invisible flared to life, a red arcane circle on the back of his left hand. An identical circle expanded out of thin air and within its outside edge was a barrage of red light, and from within this light came clouds faithful companion... Horus...

Wasting no time Cloud leapt onto Horus's back and the giant falcon carried him at breakneck speed towards the monster. Making a snap decision he urged Horus down towards the creatures leg... and towards Xanxus.
Cloud doubted Xanxus was looking out for flying people on giant falcons so he didn't bother calling out to him, he put Horus into a slingshot dive, Horus went down below Xanxus and shot upwards, Cloud grabbed hold of Xanxus as they climbed, xanxus barely had time to exclaim before Horus came level with the beasts head and He dropped Xanxus ontop of its head "you find some way to beat this thing, I'll keep it from destroying the barrier!" Cloud could barely hear himself over the roaring waves and wasn't sure if Xanxus heard him. It didn't matter anyway...

Horus brought him level with what looked like the things eyes, Cloud took aim and fired a ball of air straight at its left eye, the shot hit and the beast roared, turning its attention from the barrier to the tiny flying insect that had dared to aggravate it. "This is not going to pretty" Cloud muttered to Horus as the beast raised its left arm to strike.

Xanxus lands on the beast's head after being dropped off by Cloud. Xanxus looked up and saw that Cloud had began to attack the creature to distract it. "I guess he's leaving me to find out how to kill this creature..." Xanxus though about what he had just said and laughed, "I guess it would be better of me to say that I need to get this monster to leave, it's very unlikely that I'll be able to kill it...but how do i do it." Xanxus looked around, but while he stand there thinking behind him were more spiders that aimed to kill him.
All of a sudden three large spider creatures jumped and tackled Xanxus down. Xanxus laying on his stomach was in a bad position, these creatures were smarter than they looked and they seemed to be able to better hunt in packs than alone. Xanxus tried to reach for his guns but his hands were pinned down by one of the creatures, obviously they had did this one purpose to stop him from fighting back. Xanxus then used all of his strength to push up off of the ground causing the creatures fly back off of him, Xanxus then reached for his gun and began shooting, killing two of them. The last spider was much faster, it had to be the leader of this group. Xanxus and the spider continued fighting, Xanxus dodging the slashes from the spiders sharp claws and the spider dodging the the bullets that were fired by Xanxus. Since Xanxus was so preoccupied by the one creature he was facing he did not realize another creature was sneaking up from behind him. The creature slowly crawled behind Xanxus attempting to make as little noise as possible, it then lunged at Xanxus's back in a split second. Xanxus, hearing this, quickly spun around, but it was too late. The creature, using its long claw had stabbed Xanxus through his left shoulder. Xanxus, in shock, looked at his shoulder and saw blood gushing from the wound. Xanxus then pulled out Hurricane with his right hand and shot the creature in the head, killing it. Xanxus then pulled the claw from his shoulder, causing blood to spurt out. The (at this moment) forgotten spider took this chance of an openning and ran at Xanxus's leg, slashing it. Blood spurted from this slash as well as this was a deep cut. Xanxus screamed in agony, and fell to his knees. The creature then let out a weird clicking sound, as if to celebrate his victory. With that Xanxus fell forward and shot a single bullet behind him, which hit the ground underneath the spider. The spider thinking that Xanxus missed his shot thought nothing of it, a second later a spiked pillar of hardened water appeared under the spider, impaling it through the abdomen and raising it into the air. The creature then slowly slid down the pillar, dying in slow excruciating pain. Xanxus slowly stood back up. He was losing a lot of blood and he needed to dress the wounds. Xanxus took off his jacket and ripped the sleeves off, using one sleeve stop the bleeding of his slashed leg and the other to wrap around his left shoulder. Xanxus looked around once more and noticed a hole in the head of the beast, "This must be the monsters ears...maybe i could attack it from the inside..." Xanxus then began limping towards the hole.

OOC: Im so sorry Cloud, i've been busy with so much schoolwork and whatnot i'd forgotten to post. Sorry i didn't stick to my promise with posting that same day but I got sidetracked with stuff.

Before the monster had noticed him, Cloud had thought that the lumbering giant wouldn't have a chance at hitting a target so small. He was wrong.
Cloud had thought that the beast was made up of green scales, like some kind of reptile, but in fact he realized it was in fact made up of tightly compacted 'tentacles' which were promptly launched out of its body and straight at Cloud like a lance. The first time this happened Cloud was caught off guard and took a tentacles to the shoulder, to his horror a strange numbness began to spread from the wound just before he cut the tentacle and pulled it out. He now had a strange tingling sensation in his shoulder that was in place of the pain he should have been feeling. Cloud had no more time to ponder the matter though, a dozen more 'lances' were rapidly bearing down on him. He urged Horus down and he plunged below the attack, the tentacles retracted immediately and the beast began an onslaught of tentacles from almost every direction. if it wasn't for Horus's speed he would have been turned into a pin cushion, but at the same time, he knew that Horus would soon tire and they would both inevitably die if Xanxus didn't manage to pull something off soon.

At the thought of Xanxus he looked down to where he had drooped him off and couldn't see him any longer.
"you'd better not be dead" he shouted at the wind and urged Horus into a climb, firing blades of wind back at the pursuing tentacles. He reached the apex of his climb and found that the tentacles has stopped several meters short. "What a re-" Cloud stopped mid sentence as the beast opened what could only be called a mouth and to Clouds horror it appeared to be charging some sort of huge blast and aiming it towards the 5th islands barrier, particles of energy being pulled into a circle that was slowly growing in size.

"hurry Xanxus, or we're so totally screwed..."

Xanxus continued his walk towards the beast's ear. "There is no way for me to beat him from the outside, i have to destroy him from the inside...." Xanxus finally reached the hole, but it seemed to not be what he thought. The hole seemed to be a vent of sorts in order to expel air. "This might work as well..." Xanxus limps over to the hole and jumps down. It feels like he is falling forever but the hole is acting like a slide of sorts. Xanxus finally reaches the end of the "slide" and flies forward, landing in a wet, slimy place. "What the hell is this stuff?!?" Xanxus gets up and starts to wipe himself off. The place he's standing is dark, and he can't even see his hand in front of his face. Xanxus digs in his pocket and gets a lighter, "good thing i kept this in my pocket, never thought this would come in use." Xanxus then clutches his shoulder and then winces in pain, the pain from the wound is getting stronger, "I don't know how much londer i can hold out...im still losing blood, and this pain is unbearable...i think those spiders had some sort of venom on their claws." Xanxus clenches his fist in order to help him not think about the pain. "I don't know where I am...so maybe i should do this..." Xanxus pulls out Tsunami with his right hand and begins to fire around randomly, hearing the bullets hit. "Im inside of his head, so i must be doing some sort of damage...I hope..." Xanxus continues firing

Cloud watched in horror as the tentacles were about to overtake him. suddenly a overwhelming roar seemed to echo all around him, the tentacles retreated, leaving Cloud stunned and confused. As he looked down on the monster now, it had ceased charging its energy blast and was clawing at what Clooud assumed must ahve been its head with its claws.

Whatever Xanxus was doing, it was working. The creature roared again, it was actually tearing 'small' pieces out of itself in uts agony. With next to no warning, THe beast turnbed, trying to flee the place that ahd brought such pain into its head and began to sink into the sea.

"Xanxus! If you can hear me, GET OUT OF THERE NOW!"
Cloud didnt realisticly think Xanxus would be able to hear him from such a distance, wherever he was exactly, but he felt like if he made an effort he was a little less useless.

((Sorry for the long wait, Ive had exams on this week and half of last week))

Xanxus still firing suddenly heard a strong high pitched screeching sound. Xanxus holstered Tsunami and began holding his ears and holding his hears, trying to block the sound from entering but it was unsuccessful. Xanxus then realized that the beast must be screeching from pain. "Heh, seems like my attack worked. I need to get out of here..." Xanxus stood up again and tried to walk, but fell onto the ground. "Dammit..." Xanxus looks down at his leg and notices that he can't feel it anymore and the blood has began flowing again. Xanxus then clutches the wound in his left shoulder and sees that the blood has began to run from this wound as well. "I have to make it...." Xanxus begins to crawl back to the hole that he descended here from. When Xanxus finally gets to the hole he looks up and sees how far he must climb. Xanxus begins coughing up blood. "Shit..." Xanxus begins climbing he gets halfway up and begins to slide back down, weary from climbing. Xanxus continues climbing and all of a sudden a strong gust of hot air rushed up the hole and pushed Xanxus up, pushing him up out of the hole and soraing into the sky, flipping and tumbling through the air all the while. While Xanxus was in the air he saw that the monster had began to leave the Water Kingdom. "Looks like it worked..." Xanxus then looked down while he was falling and saw himself hurtling towards the ocean. "Heh, looks like this is it. Didn't think i'd die so soon...but it's worth it..." Xanxus then passed out, still falling lifelessly.

Cloud saw a figure fall out the side of the fleeing monsters head, several hundred metres above the sea.
A fall from that height would kill him! Cloud thought quickly. Shit.

Cloud forced Horus into a steep dive, he was a good distance away and Xanxus was picking up speed quickly.
Cloud closed the distance rapidly, Almost coming level with Xanxus less than 20 metres from the angry seas below. Cloud swung into Horus's Talons and reached out for Xanxus. 10 meters from sea level. Cloud reached out and grabbed Xanxus who was unconscious, by the leg and Horus swept into a dive, almost tearing Clouds arm off with the inertia.

The effort took its toll on Horus who was now at his limit. He levelled off at around 40 meters and cruised towards the nearest island, the island of the water king. Horus dropped Cloud and the unconscious Xanxus a short distance inland on the far side of the island away from the kings castle, he then disappeared in a flash of red light.

Suddenly exhausted and going into shock, Cloud hoisted Xanxus onto his shoulder, carrying him a short distance until he found a secluded place. there he laid him against a tree and sat down heavily himself. it was over, but there was still so much more left to do.

Clouds injuries then caught up with Cloud and he fell sideways, passing into a coma.

Xanxus woke up and looked around. "What the hell..." The last thing Xanxus remebered was that he was falling to his death to the ocean below him and then himself passing out. Xanxus saw that he was rested on a tree, he looked over and saw Cloud who was collapsed on the ground. "heh, he must have saved me...." Xanxus then clutched his shoulder and winced in pain, he was still hurt. "I have to go to a doctor, these wounds are too serious." Xanxus then looked over at Cloud and saw that he was also heavily wounded as well. "We need to get back to town." Xanxus stood up and limped next to Cloud. Xanxus then pulled out his clicker and called Noseratu. Nosferatu arrived and looked at his master, seeing how beat up he looked Nosferatu was worried and confused. Xanxus looked at Nosferatu, "Heh, dont worry about me, i'll be fine. But that idiot over there won't be unless we get him to a hospital." Xanxus said this to Nosferatu in order to stop him from worrying, but Xanxus himself knew he needed medical attention badly. Xanxus hoisted Cloud up and put him on Nosferatus back and both Xanxus and Nosferatu walked back to the village.

When Xanxus finally arrived to town he helped Cloud down off of Nosferatus back and dragged Cloud along with him to the nearest Inn. The manager saw the two and cleared two beds out for them. When Xanxus was brought to his bed he passed out. When Xanxus woke up he looked at his left shoulder and saw that his wound had been sewn shut. Xanxus then looked at his leg and saw that it had been cleaned and sutured. "This is better....I wonder how that idiot is doing..."

Cloud woke up in what he immediately recognised as a Hospital bed. No sooner had he opened his eyes that a female nurse leaned over him, shining a small light in his eyes. "Can you hear me?" She asked, sounding concerned. "Y-Yeah. I can hear you." Cloud attempted to sit up but found that he couldn't, severe pain shooting through his chest and head.

The nurse gently pushed him back down with a hand on his shoulder and began to explain everything. "You brought here from an inn on the south side of this, the 5th, island along with someone else several days ago. You received massive head injuries and went into a coma not long after we got you here. You also had 3 broken ribs, a fractured left wrist and some more minor cuts and bruises. Your friend, all in all got off much easier than you, he had some severe cuts, some of which had a sort of anesthetic poison which we managed to eradicate and is now healing quite nicely."

"That's great" Cloud said as enthusiastically as he could without causing himself pain. Then another thought occured to him. "several days ago!? Just how long have i been out for?" The nurse smiled, youve been in a coma ever since we brought you in, your fried was only out for the first day. its almost been a week and we were really starting to get worried."

" Oh...So when can we get out of here?" Cloud asked, knowing that he had to help Xanxus with the water king as soon as possible.

The nurse looked away slightly before responding. "Well.. your friend should be fine in the next few days... but with the multitude of broken bones you've sustained... I'm afraid you'll be here for quite a while longer than that. Weeks, if not months"

Cloud was silent, but inside he was cursing himself with every swearword he could imagine. How could this happen now of all the times? He was so close... "Dammit!" Cloud suddenly exclaimed, startling the nurse who quickly took a step back in case he did something violent. But the outburst had sapped all of Clouds strength and he immediately passed out, his head falling back into his pillow.

The nurse sighed, feeling sorry for the young man before her. But there was no helping it, she left, closing the dividing curtain behind her, going to check on the other man that had been found with him.

Xanxus woke up after passing out again. He was still in his hospital bed, revovering from being impaled in his shoulder and being slashed in the leg. No body was in Xanxus's room, he figured the nurses probably left since he was asleep. Xanxus threw his covers off and tried to stand up. He quickly fell on the floor. "Damn..." The leg that had been slashed still felt completely useless.... "That poison must still be wearing off little by little." Xanxus tried to stand up again and this time accomplised the task. "...But it feels alot better than before." Xanxus jumped up and down a little bit, as if trying to get used to his leg again. Xanxus then looked over to his shoulder to inspect the damage. He saw that the hole in his shoulder was sewn shut, but then pain was still there. "Guess this'll take a little longer to heal." Xanxus start to rotate his left shoulder to get used to the pain but soon stopped as the pain shot up his arm. "Whew...don't need to do that again." Xanxus then went over to his clothes, preparing to get dressed but before he did he began to think, "I need to hurry and finish up my plan, but my injuries might be to great to finish it efficiently." Xanxus then thought about Cloud's injuries as well. "He looked pretty hurt as well, If we try and take on my father and the royal guards in this condition we might as well kill ourselves..." Xanxus then sat down on his bed, "I wonder...rumors of my return have already started to spread around Raging sea, because of this my father may have security even tighter at the palace. Maybe the longer I wait to attack, the more he will think that the rumors were just rumors and become comfortable.That's it, we'll rest up and regain our strength, that way when the time comes to attack we'll be at our full strength and he won't be expecting the attack." Xanxus smiled as he felt a stroke of genius had came over him. Xanxus laid back down in his bed and immediately dozed off.
